The Leopards are partnering with The Prince’s Trust to offer a mentorship programme to guide and encourage young people into the jewellery industry.

The Mentorship Programme

Entrants are invited to design a piece of jewellery inspired by The City of London. The design can be for any part of the body but must be supported by preparatory work in which the link to London is made evident.

A shortlist of eight candidates will be invited to London to present their concept to the Leopards panel. The winning designs will be produced under the guidance of the Leopards and sold at their own stores where proceeds will be donated to The Prince’s Trust.

Commencing January 2018 the winners will enjoy privileged access to these jewellery houses and work directly with the designers to bring their creation to life.

They will each be assigned a Leopard who will translate their concept into a piece of jewellery suitable for commercial sale, to be auctioned in aid of The Prince’s Trust at the following year’s Gala event (November 2018).

Terms and conditions

Entrants must be aged 16-30 on 1st August 2017.

Hard copies of designs must be postmarked by 1st August 2017. Any designs received after this date cannot be accepted. Due to the amount of designs expected safe return of unsuccessful applications cannot be guaranteed.

Winners will be announced in October 2017 with their designs showcased at the Gala event in London the following month.

Mentorship programmes will last between one to three months commencing January 2018 in London
